I am definitely happy with my upgrade to D610 from my D300. In my opinion, the capability to shoot at higher ISO and richer in image color are 2 keys function over the D300. I heard the higher models can perform better but at this point, this D610 meets my needs.

I am still in love with this camera. I have not had one single case of buyers remorse.

I bought my 610 when they first came out and I love it. I upgraded from a Pentax ist and the a nikon d90 and there is no going back. I love full frame and I haven't had an iota of a problem with it. I'd buy another. I looked ate 810's and 750's but I don't think they will improve any IQ in the images I shoot. They all have there advantages but I like my dual card smaller pixel 610..

I also went from the D90 to the D610. I still love my D90 but the D610 is just amazing.

I personally find that the D610 couple with AFS 24-120 F4 is almost what you need for travel photography. The only short if any, is the super wide and zoom above 200 mm.

I am absolutely loving the D600. There is so much that I like about it more than my D300. I know it is comparing apples and oranges and it isn't really fair to the D300. But I am going to do it anyway. LOL I did the autofocus fine tune with the D600 and my 200-500. It was off a little bit. I went to the local WMA to try it our and make sure I didn't mess it up. By the pictures I got, I didn't mess it up. :)

If mine went Kuput and I had a lot of money where I could buy a D5 I would buy another 610.

I love my D600 and am so grateful for getting it. But I would not say I wouldn't trade it for anything. If someone offered me a even trade for a D750, D850, or a D5, I would jump at it before they would come to their senses. I mean, have you seen the specs of the new D850? Who would want one of those? But I will say this. I would take the D850 over the D5.
