Inspiration does not strike on regular basis, but when it does I'll share it here.

January 1 trip to Prairie du Sac, WI.

Thanks Brent. The lunch break photos are all about how fast I can find something to photograph and get some shots. So they may be far from technically perfect. ;)

I'm sure most were out photographing parades or fireworks on July 4th. I just wandered around my sister's home photographing planters and lawn ornaments. I was lightly mocked as I photographed the cardinal ornament, but I like how it came out.

July 15: Canada has again generously shared more wildfire smoke to block out the sky and choke our lungs. Thought I might get a fiery red sky for sunset, so I staked out a VFW post next to the airport. Could not see the thick clouds at the west horizon through the haze and that killed the plans. I used what sun I had to work with anyhow.

The last photo is very enhanced to make the sky pretty, but this was minutes after the sun set.

Sorry, I took these with my Lumix. I walked out of a business where I was doing a job and there was this hawk, easily close enough to throw rocks at it. It was either fumble with my work cellphone or grab the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS6 that I keep in my go-bag full-time.

I do appreciate the Leica lens on the Lumix when I have to resort to it. Wish there was Raw image options. First image is cropped, but the next 2 are the full image from camera.

Another lunch break set. Turtle Creek near Clinton, WI. All-infrared today, only had the converted D600 to use.

A genuine archeological artifact on the walking path. Bet it has been there 45-50 years.
